Zezito in the Glittering Caves - Electron 32K
Hello guys,
For the last couple of days I have been working on a version of my game Zezito in the Glittering Caves for the Electron. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09KXwJMd0dE
I have about 9kb of memory left and I still need to create the menu, game end and a load of levels. I hope everything will fit in.

Re: Zezito in the Glittering Caves - Electron 32K
You can achieve a hell of a lot with 9k!
Love the visual layout to this game, with the big, bold title on screen at all times, and the irregular edges to the caves! Think the regular MODE2 font should be replaced though, as it seems quite out of place. Am pretty sure there are several out there that you could download and include
Really hope you see this one through to completion!

Thanks Cybershark, The big font was a way to save memory so I am using the one from ROM, but if I have enough space I will subsitute it for one of my own.Cybershark wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 9:48 pm You can achieve a hell of a lot with 9k!

Hi,
Is this game going to be compatible with the BBC Micro?

Awesome, that looks brilliant - I love the colours and sprites plus the animation is super smooth
Re: Zezito in the Glittering Caves - Electron 32K
Looks very good so far! I like the choice of colours for the palette.
Re: Zezito in the Glittering Caves - Electron 32K
Looks beautiful and the movement is slick! Having to cover every platform is a nice additional gameplay touch too.
Everything about the style seems very unique for the Electron, can't wait to see the finished version! Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Certainly, I will have to delve into the BBC Advanced User Guide thoughMichael Brown wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 11:10 am Hi,

I tell you more, if memory allows and I can display at least 6 sprites(!) in one frame I will try to implement the game in Mode 1: or Mode 2:
Thank you Kees!
Thanks davidb!
Thanks Arcadian!

Re: Zezito in the Glittering Caves - Electron 32K
It wouldn't even necessarily require any memory. A smaller font - matching the "IN THE GLITTERING CAVES" - would be ideal but even switching the standard font characters for something more angular would be an improvement.
Of course all this would just be gravy on top of a finished game
