ArcEm is now on GitHub

Post by ccawley2011 »

As of about a week ago, ArcEm can now be found on GitHub. This is done following recent discussions on the official mailing list.

Since then, there’s been a bunch of updates to support building with recent compilers. There are also some bigger improvements still in development in pull requests, including:
  • An updated Windows version, with sound support, the ability to select floppy images from the menu and some other usability improvements.
  • An SDL port, to provide a modernised version of the existing X11 version.
  • A Nintendo DS port which, while slow, is still quite usable.
The code can be found here. Issues and Pull Requests are welcome.

=D> I've just built the code and got it running using the 3.11 rom. A couple of initial issues I have are: the emulated machine doesn't seem to have a floppy drive, and the mouse pointer is hard to control.
