Looking for a scan of "Aldebaran" game review

Post by paolo.baerlocher »

Hello,
I'm looking for a scan of the review of "Aldebaran", published in "Acorn Computing - March 1993 (Vol. 11, No. 1)".
Cover: http://8bs.com/othrdnld/tmu/V11N01.jpg

However, AFAIK the content of this issue is not available on 8bs.com nor in other online archives.
Is there an owner of this issue that would be kind enough to send me a scan of this review ? (available at page 47)
I'm the author of that game, so I'm trying to collect all reviews.

Thank you.
Paolo

Wow, I did'nt expect to have such a quick response. Many thanks, Flibble :)
And glad that you liked the game and still remember it.

Just in case you're interested in ARM programming, I have released the source code of this game on my github repository:

Cheers,

Aldebaran was great, I remember finishing it decades ago. It helped that the final arcade section where you’re zooming over the planet surface had a bug (feature?) where if you moved the ship one ‘square’ up and right you’d never crash into anything.

Thanks for releasing the source!

Coincidentally I have all the missing Acorn Computing issues (from 8bs) sat on the floor next to me waiting to go through the scanner, and as you knew exactly which issue and page it was, it was very quick :D

Thanks, I'll definitely have a look

I was not aware of this bug :o
Anyway, congratulations for finishing the game =D>
