Hi guys,

I found a rather interesting video about wrong 6847 timings in Mame.
Don't know if or when these changes were implemented but I think it's worth checking the Atom emulator in Mame.

He recently improved the MC6847 timings for the NTSC Coco machines, but later noticed the PAL Dragon machines suffered. These latest changes for PAL machines haven't been merged yet.

Though I would assume that the PAL fixes wouldn't affect the Atom, as it's running the 6847 in NTSC mode (by default).
