many of these engraving fonts including those by Gorton have not made it to OTF/TT
Um, well, yes.

However, I have transferred non-TTF fonts (mainly by tracing enlarged bitmaps (i.e. print out the bitmap chars at a large size, scan back
into my computer, and then trace with Inkscape to produce SVG images to import into a font program) to TTF.

If someone could give me a link to any bitmapped versions of the Gorton fonts I'd be perfectly happy to convert them into TTF versions
and upload them either here or to a designated site.

Someone got 'there' first:

I took a different approach to this, and ordered a set of F1 through F10 for my IBM Model M from https://www.pckeyboard.com/page/product/PRK (I know, counting should start at zero if it were on an actual beeb)...

Somewhere, somewhen I have a very vague memory of reading that one could use a BBC Master as a keyboard for a Macintosh: whether that is a real memory or a false one I have no way of knowing.

Has anyone looked in to Dye Sublimation for making BBC Keys?

There are custom services, but I haven't looked into it yet.

I've gone for the cheap solution too, for my Corsair Vengeance K70 keyboard. You can get a set of red Cherry MX keycaps for less than £10, from multiple sellers on Amazon:

There's just something about red function keys that helps me align my fingers in low light situations (not a touch typist). Must be a learned childhood thing - thanks Acorn!

But I'd still love a proper set of keycaps in the correct font & colors.

Incidentally, there's an interesting video here but it's not a practical solution for most of us:
