Tested in [desktop] Safari 13.1.2 (an up-to-date version), the following worked:
Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
Thanks Thomas. I'll get that updated asap, probably Saturday as I'm planning on having a hangover tomorrow

I've added the information provided by Thomas. I'll be testing in firefox myself in the next couple of days so if you are a chrome/edge/other user feel free to let us know how the browser based emulators run in your browser.
EDIT: So that didn't take very long! Everything worked in Firefox just slowly as my laptop is rubbush!

Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
Sorry, update on this: HTeMuLator now seems to work in Safari. Same version of Safari, same machine, same ad blockers, same everything.
Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
I had the same problem with jsatom in Firefox. I was about to edit the thread but went back and tried it again and it worked!
Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
Can I suggest that the emulators for RISC OS be included in this list?
BeebIt by Michael Foot https://mjfoot.netlify.app/bbc.htm
and
6502em by Murklesoft http://www.borcherds.co.uk/murklesoft/r ... 502em.html which also emulates the Electron and is commercial software.
Cheers!

I'll look at this over the next few days (if I haven't already).fwibbler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:53 pm Can I suggest that the emulators for RISC OS be included in this list?

I recently did a fresh install of linux mint 20 and I no longer needed to install each individual part of allegro 5 so I've updated the post about that, either in this thread or whichever thread this thread links to.

Is that good enough? I'm a complete noob when it comes to RISC OS.
Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
Looks fine now.
Thanks for that.

Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
I for sure do not want to undercut anyone efforts but at: https://archive.retro-kit.co.uk/bbc.nvg ... .php3.html there is a very comprehensive list (if a little dated) of emulators that could be least used as a starting point.
Do you think we could borrow at least the names from the list? I do not know if Robert Schmidt would object to essentially duplicating his efforts.

Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
Does anyone think this is worth doing? I've gone through the list as far as BeebinC and everything is either a dead link, unsupported (eg dos based) or massively out of date (BeebinC was last updated to 0.99f on 15/7/98).
I originally made this list as we were getting a lot of questions about emulators, where to get them and how set them up. It's not really meant as a historical record of acorn emulators.

Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
If there isn't anything currently usable in that list, maybe it's enough to link to the list, so it doesn't get lost.
Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
Regarding:
This works fine on macOS under Wine and Crossover (basically also Wine).System 1
Acorn Microcomputer Emulator
Website: http://speleotrove.com/acorn/acornEmulator.html
Windows: Install and run. Linux: Wine needed. macOS: Unknown
Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
FWIW: BeebEm and ElectrEm both run fine under Wine on a Chromebook (Acer CB3-431) with the Linux container enabled. Slowly, at times, but that's just my old hardware I think!
Re: Index of links to 8-bit Acorn Emulators
This does actually exist. I just never released it into public.
C# and monogame.

The b-em links are from 2017.
I'll look for newer ones when I get on my pc.
