The Tuesday evening 'General' ABug sessions are quite different to the Saturday events which are highly structured with many organised speakers giving presentations. Tuesday meets tend to be very much ad-hoc where conversation can flow between members on a variety of subjects from the technical moving through to more social interaction. We try to start off with any technical topics and once they are finished pretty much anything goes though we try to avoid politics and religion!
Some of the more 'regular' attendees at the Tuesday night sessions have already received an invite containing the Zoom login info.
If you would like to attend but haven't received an invite, please respond in this thread if you would like to receive the Zoom logins.
This next bit is important.
If there is something you'd like to talk about please post in this thread and whoever is moderating at the time can make sure time is set aside for discussing your topic.
Also, if you suddenly remember something you would like to talk about during the meeting and you don't want to interrupt the current discussion please leave a message in the Zoom chat for the attention of a host/co-host.
If there are no topics then the evening will be pretty much just a social gathering of Acorn geeks, which many would agree is no bad thing.
If you are new to Zoom, forum member JudgeBeeb has written a handy guide to getting set up and logged in.
Note: by requesting a place at this event, you consent to receiving the Zoom logins in the form of a calendar invite sent via the ABug Google account to the email address you have associated with your Stardot account. If you have a different email address associated with your calendar (e.g. a Gmail account) please PM me to let me know the email address you'd like us to use. Alternately, we can issue you with the Zoom logins via PM if absolutely necessary, though this is non-preferred as it does add to the admin process.
