Thanks! Honestly, I don't really know. I think it helps that I can use modern tools, have all the information at my finger tips and, most of all, I'm not burdened with a commercial deadline

OK - trying to figure this "fast drop" out. I think I'm just seeing it on the platform because that's one of the few places where there's a large drop.

However I do think there's something slightly odd about the fall. Here are 4 frames from the start of the fall overlaid.

I think you're adding some gravity and then - once you get to a certain speed - limiting the amount of fall per frame.

So you can see that the difference between frame 2 and 3 is far greater than frame 3 and 4 (and subsequent frames). This gives a "jolt" at the start of the fall and that might be what I'm noticing.

Apologies for being so picky...

Don't worry, Chris, I need this kind of feedback to fix things that need fixing. =D>
This is very interesting indeed. Thanks for your detailed report. I will look into it myself and let you know what I find.

My goodness, this is such a slick game! Really amazing what can be achieved with 4 colours. Love the smooth animation and playability. This will be a hard game to complete. But amazing piece of work all round, let alone an Electron game.

Congratulations on releasing this!

I didn't resist for long. It's a great game!

Is sound a special treat for the Electron only? I might be out of luck if so as I couldn't find an Electron emulator that works on a modern version of MacOS. Maybe I should get the old PC out.

Sound effects should be identical on Electron, Beeb and Master and any emulator. On what configuration exactly are you experiencing no sound?

Ah! Never mind. Problem my end. I was using Bluetooth headphones, which was working for all my other computer sounds - music, YouTube etc. But it turns out the b2 emulator directs it's sound to the internal speaker regardless. Which was turned down.

I've got sound for Electrobots now. :-)

@ChrisB: I was never able to reproduce this behaviour in my demo or in the final game. I would be interested to know if it happens to you in the released game.

Wonderful surprise to see the game released and I've had a lot of fun with this today; it's interesting how you have to play the three areas in parallel in order to unlock places you can't get to.

This was exactly the sort of game that went down well on the BBC and Elk BITD and I think it's a huge amount of fun to play.
