Apologies in advance for being off topic but I am looking for a relatively simple text adventure written in BASIC with a creative commons compatible license that I can port for inclusion in a FREE "Welcome Tape" that I am preparing for the Colour Maximite 2 (
https://geoffg.net/maximite.html).
Can anyone help me out?
Best wishes,
Tom

Re: Seeking a text adventure written in BASIC
In trade I offer a Z-machine implementation written in BASIC: https://github.com/thwill1000/zmim though I'm afraid you'll need to port it to an ARM copro to have any hope of running in on the Beeb.

Re: Seeking a text adventure written in BASIC
This was written in BASIC back in the day.

I can hardly remember writing it, tbh. Fairly sure it wasn't a wholly original theme.

Re: Seeking a text adventure written in BASIC
I have written a text adventure in BASIC, it’s called Moonbase Escape and was “published” (sounds very grand!) a couple of months ago, details here:
MoonBase Escape Rev 2
Please drop me a line via PM if interested and I’ll see if I can help.

Looks like thwill decided to go with Scott Adams's original BASIC version of Pirate Adventure from BYTE magazine (December 1980):
