I have been using dfs with my homemade dual drive for some time now. i also made a copy for the 5.25 part of my drive for use of shift boot (drive 0) my OS is 3.20

Just to confirm that it works fine on my DataCentre-enabled BBC Master. And yes, it's pretty amazing - moreso I think than running it in an emulator. :)

Thanks to keiranhj, I've finally (after nearly eight years!) got round to uploading a video of this captured from real hardware : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8mzsLeBnNc. The preexisting video on Youtube was taken from Beebem, and showed at least 3 emulator bugs that I noticed.
