If more of those aux plugs can be sourced... I reckon it'd be highly possible to make up some new aux power cables.. Maplins sell the drive end plugs for less than a pound. I believe 3 pin versions (beeb end) were for single drives and 4 pin for doubles.

Oh you can get those, they're still a stock item:

http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/indiv ... VAR-BBCAXP

£4.50 from CJE Micros.

or...if you prefer a price more inline with this planet:

http://uk.farnell.com/tyco-electronics- ... t=165-4465

78p from Farnell, plus 40p for the contacts, then Alistair's 15% - makes them about £1.35. I've got a load of those in stock if anyone needs some and doesn't want to shop for the minimum qty from Farnell (and the ones I have are Gold contacts, CJE ones are Tin). I've also got the Female version - the type that goes in the PSU.

I am now bringing another mate along, so my posse has grown to 3!

He's bought a ticket though at RR site but it didn't ask for his address, does he just get it when he turns up?

EDIT

Another one has joined in so there's now 4 of us, yay :)

Here are the final verions of both the Floorplan and the Socket/Wiring plan:
http://www.acornworld.co.uk/img/AcornWo ... orplan.png
http://www.acornworld.co.uk/img/AcornWo ... ockets.png

I'd be grateful if all exhibitors could familiarise themselves with each, and if possible, bring printouts (just in case I'm not around when you arrive and you're wondering where to set up). The hotel should have already laid the tables out in advance. Under no circumstances should multi-socket extensions be 'daisy chained'; the only exception being the setups in the lobby.

Now if anyone can bring any of the following as backup, I'd be extremely grateful (as it's always better to have too many than too few!):
  • Monitor Leads (Cub, Philips, BBC>Scart and BBC BNC>Phono Plug [for mono monitors], BBC/Electron to RF TV, Archimedes and Ax0x0 to Philips and VGA)
  • Any econet equipment/cables
  • 6-way/8-way multisocket adaptors
  • Power Extension cables (I will only be able to provide a couple of these myself, so definitely require some help here)
  • Kettle leads
  • 5.25" & 3.5" drives (single or dual) that run off the Beeb's external power socket
  • a few BBC B's with Econet (as backup to the Caver setup)
  • Spare portable TVs/Monitors (LCD if poss!) with connecting leads to BBCs etc
There follows a summary of who's responsible for bringing what, plus socket requirements. Please do not bring any other equipment into the hotel unless agreed with myself.

Thanks!

Organised with military precision Dave! Somebody should provide you with a sargeant major's hat and a loudspeaker for Saturday morning...

If you need a spare Beeb to fill a gap on Sunday let me know, I can bring mine with the MMC card in if you want. No spare TV or Monitor though!

Nah, I was just assuming it would go on printing tickets until the hall was so full of Beebs and people that the Leccy cut out, then it would stop

The above floorplan has been updated to reflect a few switcheroos, namely:

: The GoMMC/PIC-BBC table has been relocated to where the Atom stall used to be
: The Atom table has been relocated to where the ROUGOL stall used to be
: The ROUGOL table has been relocated to where the GoMMC/PIC-BBC table used to be

The wiring plan has also been updated in accordance with the latest (and dare I say final?) changes.

Do you still want me to bring my CUB monitor? (with Beeb connecting lead)

Also, I have both a BBC B and a BBC Master kicking around, I'd love to get an MMBEEB in one of them, shall I bring one along? Is there gonna be any MMBEEB sales going on?

I've just noticed 3 letters on the floorplan that I don't think we've discussed, and are VERY important:

\:D/ BAR \:D/

Please tell me it's going to be open, and is there a food joint where we can get much unhealthyness around the clock?

Yep, bring 'em along. :) Btw, I think Charlie should have your MM-Beeb ready by the weekend ...

Unhealthy snacks served in the lobby. Unhealthy food served in the restaurant (Burgers n' chips).

The prices on the hot food aren't too bad either (though it took a lot of hard bargaining from SirClive to get the cost down) ;).
