Elite 4

Thought people might like to know that there is development on Elite 4, and this is from David Braben himself.
But I think from what I can figure out that he is very keen to make this a much better game than the last two, from what I understand of the situation the last two were pushed in to publication early by the publishers and the game consequently wasn't 'finished' (if a game ever is finished). I believe at the moment it has a release date of next year sometime, incidentally you might have seen a game called Infestation which was released by his company in the recent past half-year, was very good by most accounts.
I take it that Elite 4 was never made in the end. It's already half way through 2003.
Not sure if you folks have noticed this yet but there's some vague acknowledgement that Frontier are in fact still developing Elite IV - it's a shame they didn't manage to get something out this year as it's 10 years since Elite was released on the BBC micro.
There's still another six months of the year left so maybe they'll surprise us? I think I'd personally prefer to wait for a worthy bug free sequel than another rushed-out-doesn't-quite-make-the-grade successor. Problem is, I guess, is that we all have such HIGH expectations on what should be in it. How do you write such a revolutionary game these days? Be interested to hear on "BBC people's" views on what should be included in Elite IV (considering some of the annoyances of the previous versions). As a starter for ten how about:
1) Please, please, please don't use REAL physics
I agree with those 2 ideas but what I think it should do is aim to achieve the potential that the original artwork suggested - the realism and depth that the original couldn't do.
