Re: Abductor

Title screen and blinking/scrolling stars look the business! The mode switching is a great touch, I'd have loved to see more games take this approach back in the day (I was always well impressed with Spy Hunter, wished Arcadians had a similar feature!). The switching looks great in your Abductor por...

Re: SOURCES: Missing BBC Games Help Required!

This advert is from Acorn User November 1983 from David Tarlton. Screenshot 2024-03-28 173841.png This advert was only searched for after Quest and Chalice were found on a disc! Therefore, we are looking for Vampire Castle, Demon, Demon Dream and Revenge. I googled David Tarlton and BBC Micro to se...

Re: Abductor

Nice fast shooter! Will look forward to this! (I think you should 'release' the Mode 7 port too, or include it as a hidden Easter Egg!). I remember spotting the attached [variant] Abductor cover in with a bunch of BBC Micro tapes on ebay a number of years back, got all excited because I thought it m...

I've actually just set my A3 scanner up for the first time in ages so I'll gladly take them! :) I'll drop you a PM. The Mercury Games booklets look interesting I'm not sure if I've seen any of those that didn't have the Software Bargains cross-branding on them. Haven't seen the Acornsoft one nor the...

A few seconds after visiting your website the page is still being replaced by malware sites. It's not just happening to me as other users reported it.

The site is clearly infected and I suggest you pull it until you've been able to sort this issue.

Please do not repost the link again.

Always thought Meteors was a solid conversion for the Elk but your update takes it to another level - it's so much smoother and more playable now. Incredible achievement, thanks and well done! I can't wait to take this version on the road with me to events (in fact, I've got a big one in a couple of...

Re: Smash Out - A New Electron Game From John Boyes (Everygamegoing)

Can't help with BBC conversion Mick (perhaps if DaveE still has John's contact details he could ask him if the source still exists, as that might be easier to modify for compatibility as opposed to hacking the assembled files?). Anyway only just had a proper go at this, it's a really polished title ...

Sunday Only managed these shots of Budgie's Electron with replacement ULA including Mode 7, MMFS, Turbo and VGA Support (and probably more!). Thanks to everyone that attended (and for Daniel and Chris for the help co-organising) - it all seems to have all ran pretty well indeed from what I can tell,...

What times is the event on..
Yes just pop in.

We'll likely be in the room till at least midnight tonight, and until early-mid afternoon tomorrow (these things do thin out significantly from 2pm onwards on the Sunday).

We now have a few tables free therefore if anybody local/localish members of Stardot would like to swing by and bring some Acorn gear, either on Saturday and/or Sunday, please make a quick post here. The cost of the space has already been covered.

As per the video there are regular steps through two doors on the left hand side as you walk in. I'll be on hand for the duration to help anyone carry things up on the Friday/Saturday and back down on the Sunday (please come and find me/ask for me). I'm not going to have a setup myself, just there t...

Looks beautiful and the movement is slick! Having to cover every platform is a nice additional gameplay touch too.

Everything about the style seems very unique for the Electron, can't wait to see the finished version! Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Is it possible to hold the title screen i.e. have it wait for a keypress, and you barely have a second to read the controls, or the opportunity to press K to redefine?
