Re: Which BBC DFS

DFS1.2 won't work with a 8271FDC, so still require DFS2.26 (also 128/16k) if leaving the 1770FDC present I think you've got that the wrong way around: DFS 1.20 does work with the 8271 FDC. think you've not read this thread properly [-X ee668 said he is keeping 1770 & burning 1.20  EDIT: a...

Re: Running AMX PageMaker Plus without Floppy Drive

8272 what looks like a covered window as one might expect on an EPROM? Is the 8272 actually a micocontroller it's probably just an earlier version of same FDC chip, but made prior to 1986, as the ones on two of my bare board 286 51/4" controllers has no 'window' & has Intel P8272A on them.

audacity is rubbish on a PC, but seems OK on a Mac :? 48k is total overkill , it's not a blu ray movie disc! Need to be 44k, then use CSW viewer to turn a mono .WAV into a .CSW, then use that for emulators, or into .uefHQ if the csw does not work, 80% of time csw does not work... MP3s are useless un...

turning on CGA / EGA / VGA '87 monitors?

have a few but a bit scared to turn them on :?

my beeb monitor from 1985 got binned 1992 #-o as it would hardly turn on

I ask as I have a few 8088 (286) PCs , one has composite out on the massive card too (with 5 1/4" disc 8272 FDC), so better to just use that.... :|
