Did anyone get a UEF of the Electron version? I have been playing the BBC version recently. I have made a map of the sloping maze

Re: Tape Audio: CFCH Haul
I will remove the concatenation of file name parts. Another minor bug I have discovered is that with DC offset removing with the amateur version I am removing a chunk from the end of WAV files. I can't remember what it is.

Re: Tape Audio: CFCH Haul
With MakeUEF you can have a command such as: Makeuef -i name with spaces.csw. Is this usually allowed at the command prompt? You can also write Makeuef -i "name with spaces.csw". If there is more than one space character the latter style must be used. I am thinking about removing support o...

Re: Philosopher's Quest Box Art question
The Stairway To hell site doesn't have any covers with that style and it doesn't have the Electron cover either. Theres another site that says there are 2 BBC versions from Acornsoft and one from Topologika.

The latest version of CSW Viewer (V44) is here: http://www.stairwaytohell.com/cswviewer A 32-bit version of Windows is needed to create CSW files with it.

Re: Utilities for decoding & encoding of Acorn Atom Tape files
My MakeUEF V2.4 will make a UEF file from an Atom tape and although it did before this is one if its improvements over V2.3. The -d command can be useful to get the waves evenly on the zero line, especially since the Atom can have leaderless files.

Re: Tape Audio: CFCH Haul
I am trying to get somewhere to hold MakeUEF. I've rewritten the installation instructions as so: There is not an automatic installer. If you are using 64-bit Windows place the files in the x64\System32 folder in your Windows\System32 folder. If you are using 32-bit Windows place the files in the x8...

Re: Tape Audio: CFCH Haul
If your using 32-bit Windows the files in SysWOW64 should go into Windows\System32. The instructions are not correct for 32-bit Windows. I have tested it on 32-bit Windows and it does appear to be working.

I'm surprised nobody said anything about the straightening. You can't go by the post. If you use the helter skelter in the background you find it needs turning 2 degrees to the right.

Re: Tape Audio: CFCH Haul
If you have 64-bit Windows the 32-bit Windows files should not be needed. System32 is a suitable place for system dll files. bpl is a similar type of file.

Re: Tape Audio: CFCH Haul
A new version is ready. A few bugs appeared while doing final testing. I've updated the Atom format description at BeebWiki and added a bit to the BBC one. I haven't seen Thomas Harte who maintains the UEF format on this forum for a year or so.

Re: Tape Audio: CFCH Haul
What set up do folk use for recording a cassette? Recently I have used a cable from my Acorn ANF03 DIN to both left and right on the blue socket on my PC. Using GoldWave this works but when I had it on only the left channel there was some strange results. MakeUEF V2.4 is not far from done now. Does ...

Re: Any summary of WAV to UEF/CSW software (multi-platform)
The program csw.exe uses Fourier Fast Transform to get the pulselengths. I expect it uses common library code rather than writing all the mathematics code into it. My program MakeUEF will have a new version soon. I don't see any point in writing another program that does the same job because I know ...

I changed IC11 because ADVAL(0) was sometimes 1. But I have changed it back again and it is consistently 0 now and w...

Is ADC0844CCN often damaged because it is the only socketed ic in the plus 1 other than the rom? Is there any test I could do with a meter to see if it works?
